Judith Foster

1937-

Judith Foster was born in London in 1937. Educated first in Bath, she came to study at the Ipswich Scool of Art in 1955, from where she gained entrance in 1959 to the Royal College of Art. She graduated in 1962 being awarded an Abbey Minor Travelling scholarship that took her to Rome and many of the principal European art galleries.

Judith is married to artist Richard Pinkney and has two sons and two grandchildren. She lives at her studio in Bramford just outside Ipswich. An active member of the Ipswich Art Society, she exhibits regularly in the region. Over the years she has taught at the Ipswich School of Art and the Suffolk College, Art Department. She has run leisure and master classes in her own studio and conducted several summer schools. Her work is represented in private and public collections in Europe, the USA and the UK.
